This small and cosy lodge offered everything we suspected. Beautiful (superior) rooms, good food for breakfast and dinner. There is a friendly staff and the Lodge is in bush-like surroundings... read more with free roaming undangerous animals.

We had an unforgettable stay at Mvuradona Safari Lodge! The people are so lovely, kind and sweet. They will do everything to make your stay as good as possible. Breakfast... read more and dinner are very good. Dinner is with everybody together at the camp fire, so cozy and it is very nice to chat with the staff and the other guests. Also make sure to book the half day or full day safari at the lodge. You get Deon as your guide; you cannot get a better guide! He is very passionate about his job and very experienced. Much better than our experience with a safari booked at Kruger Park (this was very dissapointing because we were to spoiled with our experience with the safari booked at the lodge). Thank you very much for this perfect experience! It is so sad that we have to leave, but we will definitely come back!
Much love,

We stayed two nights at Mvuradona Safari Lodge and really enjoyed our stay. It is a beautiful lodge where you can sometimes see different animals in the garden like zebras,... read more warthogs and gnus. There are only seven rooms and the service was great. We enjoyed the dinner at one big table with other guests. We can also recommend the open vehicle safari tour in the Kruger that was organized by the lodge. Thanks a lot!

We chose to do one full day safari and then a couple of self-drive safaris on the other days. While I enjoyed my full-day safari I must admit that the guide we were given was not the best. We shared this with the lodge and learned that she wasn't the full-time host. If you do the full day safari I would recommend asking if you can go on one of the days the owner leads the trips. I have heard great things about him! And I know for a fact he has some incredible stories! During our stay, we were very pleased with the food. The breakfast was a little different each day and always tasty. The dinners were also very satisfying. We chose to not eat at the resort every night just because we wanted to experience other options in the area. You could choose to eat at the lodge every night and be very happy! There is a great variety offered throughout each week! The only negative for me during the stay was the tension between the staff. Living in Norway I... The only negative for me during the stay was the tension between the staff. Living in Norway I must admit that the South African culture was a bit rougher than I am used to (I am not saying it is bad, just very different from what I am used to). While the white management staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, it was the black support staff that truly made the time at the lodge special! They were some of the friendliest people I have engaged within such a setting and they were always willing to be helpful. I was grateful to have such great service. The tension I spoke about was obvious on several occasions during our stay and left me feeling a bit awkward. I do not want to share any details but it was a challenge during my stay. It is entirely possible that this atmosphere is present in every lodge as it might just be cultural.
Overall I really enjoyed this lodge and for the price, I imagine it is hard to beat. It is small and cozy so you will not feel overrun by hundreds of guests. More
