The activities at Mvuradona Safari Lodge is almost endless.
Mvuradona is situated in Marloth Park bordering the Kruger National Park. Guests can view all kinds of wildlife from the comfort of the main lodge down at the Crocodile River. If you are interested in making a reservation do click here to contact us.
Game Drives in Kruger Park:
We offer game drives in our open safari vehicle into the Kruger National Park with an experienced guide to give you the best possible game viewing experience. We depart early morning form the lodge and enter Kruger Park at the Crocodile Bridge Gate. Our safari drive will take us along the Sabie River up to Lower Sabie Rest Camp where we stop for a while before making our way back.
Panorama Route:
The Lowveld region offers picturesque landscapes with endless mountain ranges, which forms part of the Drakensberg Mountains. Breathtaking waterfalls and viewpoints such as God’s Windows, Lisbon Falls, Bourke’s Luck Potholes, Lone Creek Falls, the Three Rondawels and Blyde River Canyon. The Panorama route is a wonderful day excursion offered from the lodge.
Swaziland Tour:
We enter Swaziland at Jeppe’s Reef border post a mere 60-minute drive from the lodge. The tour will take us through various landscapes, the highlights of the tour are Maguga Dam, Ngwenya Glass Factory, Mantenga Nature Reserve as well as at the Swazi Cultural Village. Lastly at Malkerns we visit Swazi Candle before making our wat back to the lodge.
Mozambique Day Tour to Maputo:
This is a jam-packed day with a historic look into Mozambique. Highlights of the day include a visit to the 3rdmost beautiful train station in the world, the Maputo CFM Train Station, Tunduru Botanical Gardens, Samora Machel Independent Square, Steel House, The Fortress, Lemon Squeeser Church Polana Serena Hotel, the craft market and lastly the Katembe bridge which is the longest extension bridge in Southern Africa
Golf courses:
We are just a stones through away from two wonderful golf courses Kambaku Golf Course in Komatipoort and the world-renowned Leopard Creek in Malelane. Both these iconic golf courses have beautiful views of the Crocodile River.
Wildlife photography:
If you have an interest in wildlife photography our location is just perfect with loads of birds and wildlife in and around the lodge or along the Crocodile River. We can also take you on our open safari vehicle for a drive in the Kruger National Park. A privately booked safari vehicle will be required to make the most of your photographic safari experience.
Should you have an interest in wildlife photography and would like to learn the finer points about photography the in house photographer and general manager Rihann van Wyk would gladly accompany you on a safari to share his expertise.
Bushwalks:
Enjoy the quiet tranquillity of the bush. Go on a bushwalk and discover the hidden secrets of the bush. Listen to the bird calls and follow the tracks in the sand, smell the wildflowers and feel the cool morning breeze. Marloth Park offers a safe environment for walking.
Tiger Fishing:
Fancy some fishing? If you are up for a challenge try to catch one of Africa’s apex game fish, A fish known for putting up a good fight, the Tiger Fish. Take a relaxing boat ride and enjoy the beautiful scenery on the Komati River en-route to the fishing hot spots. All fishing is on a catch and releases basis.
Sunset Boat Cruise:
If fishing is not your thing, take a sunset boat cruise on the Komati River and enjoy a glass of wine (or anything you prefer) while watching the sunset on the horizon.
